The PVP combat in Tabula Rasa credits is slower because the weapon-power does not insanely increase while you level. For instance the One Handed Sword I got from a quest back when I was 32 I am still using at 41 and I will be getting an upgrade by a level 45 golden weapon but the difference in damage is not much.
