Fly time you have
The core itself is not shown on the lower Abyss map, but you must think 3D, there is Upper Abyss, Core, and then Lower Abyss. To reach this island you must fly there, but at level 26 you probably will not have enough fly time to get Forsaken World Gold. So you must glide, gliding prolongs the amount of fly time you have.
