Start acquiring some badges
If you are been using the dungeon finder to level up, you have probably accumulated a fair number of badges already. However, if you have not delved into star trek credits yet, that would be a great place to start acquiring some badges. If you do not have a good tanking set together yet, you may want to just queue up as either DPS or healing, depending on what gear you have a better set of.
